SASKATCHEWAN AUTHOR, ARTIST AND PUBLISHER, HENRY RIPPLINGER, WINS THE IPPY MEDAL BOOK AWARD SECOND YEAR IN A ROW

May 1, 2012

It was announced today that Another Angel of Love, the second book in self-published author, Henry Ripplinger's six-book series, "The Angelic Letters," won the Silver Medal for Religious Fiction at the 2012 Independent Publishers Book Awards (IPPY Awards). In 2011, Ripplinger's first book in the series, Pewter Angels tied for the Gold Medal in the Religious Fiction Category.

Founded in 1996, the IPPY Awards recognize the best and brightest in Independent Publishing every year. Accepting submissions from across the globe, in 2011 the Awards saw nearly 4000 submissions. Book entries came from 45 U.S. states, 7 Canadian Provinces and 7 countries overseas. The IIPY Awards have become the industry's most competitive and prestigious awards for independent published books.

"The Angelic Letters" is an epic saga of love, angels and miracles, spanning a fifty year odyssey in the lives of Henry Pederson and Jenny Sarsky. Inspired by true and miraculous events in the author's life, there are three basic things Ripplinger says that people will get out of reading the "Angelic Letters Series." It is a heart-warming, epic love story; it exudes timeless life lessons that come through the main character's relationship with his mentor; and the story reminds us of our guardian angels, our unseen link to God.

The third book of the "Angelic Letters Series," Angel of Thanksgiving is being launched this Saturday and Sunday, May 5 and 6 at Chapters.
